Activity reports throwing errors

In XI r3 (with no fix packs) - I have successfully connected my activity universe to my audit db and can do some basic queries. However, the majority of the reports are throwing errors.

I am getting ORA-00936:missing expression.

Obviously my Audit db is on Oracle.

Regards

Alan

Hi Alan,

Auditing data is being connected through the universe named "Activity." There are separate Activity universes for each different database server type and the report is still trying to hit the MySQL database of that name.

To get the report to connect to the Oracle Activity universe, follow these steps:

1. On the BusinessObjects XI Release 2 CD, find m29.cab file.

2. Extract the following file:

auditing_db_oracle.biar.65FF9700_720A_4759_AB8C_5E33BA2E32D3

and rename it auditing_db_oracle.biar

3. Use The Import Wizard to publish this .biar to your BusinessObjects XI Release 2 system. Click Business Intelligence Archive Resource(BIAR) file for the source during the import.

4. After importing this file, open Designer and change the database connection to point to the correct Oracle database server.

Hope this will help you.

Thanks,

Sandy
