Hi ALE/IDOC guys,

Please kindly provide some comments or suggestions on my locking error below:

Account is currently blocked by user RFC_ALE.

This kind of error does not occur all the time, but it was encountered by my teammate once.

What is the root cause of this and if you experienced this before, how were you able to avoid this error?

A lock error "by user XXXX" means that the user XXXX is working in parallel on the same object. That's it. It depends on the exact case. It's impossible to answer without information.

Most likely a volume issue of multiple postings occurring at one time which results in a shared object being locked amongst multiple transactions.  We have this case when receiving multiple shipment confirmations from a 3PL that tie back to the same sales order.  Easiest way to handle this is to periodically schedule program 'RBDMANI2' with any number of message number/classes selected for reprocessing.
