Accessing BW in netweaver 2004s issue

Hi

I logged into Sap (sneak preview installed locally) via client 001 ( in order to work on BW) & user= SAP*

When I try to create a new class with transaction se24

I get the following message "No changes for user SAP* allowed"

Can anyone help me on this issue ?

How can extend right to that user in order not to be blocked.

Thanks in adance

Kadiga

Hi Kadiga,

I don't know the exact differences between the sneak preview and the real installation, so I will address this as if you are using a full system.

Goto su01, create a user for yourself.

Give yourself permissions (SAP_ALL)

Goto se24 and try again...

Cheers,

Kadiga,

Are you talking about NW04s that is on ramp up when you say sneak preview?

Seriously, user SAP* should not used for normal stuff and you should not be making changes in that or using that for the type of work you are suggesting.

In addition to SAP_ALL that was suggested, I usually add SAP_NEW in SU01 too.

Kadiga,

I believe you logged in with the SAP* user id. Create a normal user for yourself and login with that user id.

Cheers,

Scott
