Hi experts,

Currently we have Dev(A) , QA(B) and production(C) system. when I did some changes for one datasource and move the TR1 from A to B. Then I did some changes for the same datasource in A again and included in TR2. The question is when I move the TR1 to production system, whether TR1 will include the changes of TR2.

Regarding the TR, does it just include the latest status of one object?

Thank you for your help.

I just want to double confirm that when i move tr1 to production system, it will not include the changes made by Tr2.

Hi Yaodan,

Yes when u move TR1 to production and it will not include the changes made by TR2.

Even if you have moved TR2 to production you can always revert the changes back by moving TR1 which is also called as Backout TR.Transports capture the changes of that instance.

Recommended to send the all the list of transports what has bee sent to Quality in the same order to Prod.

Even if a particular Tp did not make a difference in Q and not useful still , if it was sent to FQuality, it should go to Prod & the transports should go in the same order to Prod as it was sent to Quality.

Hi Yaodan,

It is always a better practise to move all those TR's which were transported from Dev(A) to Quality(B) to production as well. So that none of the changes will be missed.

In your case though TR2 will hold all the new chnages, its better first release TR1 to prod & then TR2 in the same sequence that you followed for releasing to Quality.

Hope it helps!

hi,

the TR if imported with the the options settings of :

overwrite originals

overwrite objects in Unconfirmed repairs

ignore predecessor relation

then no matter what the sequence will be the TR snapshot is activated in the target system (only TR2 in production will be imported without errors), in case the ignore predecessor relation is not ticked then the sequence will be necessary (first TR1 and then TR2).

Arvind.

No. U should move TR2 to B. Then TR1 & TR2 to Prod.

Yes TR holds latest changes of one object.
