About Oracle audit settings

We are currently setting up an Oracle audit file.
Please let me know the following.
1. In case of Windows OS, if we set Oracle parameter “audit_trail=os”, is it correct that it will be output to the event log?

2. When the Oracle parameter “audit_trail=xml” is set, the output files are stored under the folder set in “audit_file_dest.” Please tell us how to clean up the stored audit files.

I have found a way to set parameters in “initSID.sap” by referring to the following SAP Note,
However, “initSID.sap” does not exist under <OracleHome>\database.
Please tell me how to deal with the case where “initSID.sap” does not exist.

Dear Customer,

So we are using windows OS, then audit_trail=os, will lead to write audit log to event log.
Also windows, to send audit data to OS files instead of Event Log is to set audit_trail to XML or to  XML,EXTENDED.
And the audit file stores under parameter of audit_file_dest .

To clean up the stored audit logs, you can delete the audit os log directly.
Or use SAP note 1551504, initSID.sap is SAP brtools profile which default locates under:

ORACLE_HOME\Database
or
oracle\sid\sapprof

Please check both locations.

Best regards,
James

Dear Contact Person,

If I install only Oracle for SAP software, isn't “initSID.sap” generated in the following folder?

ORACLE_HOME\Database or oracle_HOME\database or oracle\sid\sapprof How can I generate “initSID.sap”?

Best Regards,
