In my case this issue was caused by the fact that my SAP Universal ID and S/P-user passwords were not the same (there seem to be no synchronization between the two).

I used this link https://account.sap.com/manage/accounts to reset my S/P-user password (I synchronised it to my SAP Universal ID password) and at this point I was able to use it to successfully add the Sub Account to Cloud Connector.

For them the solution was in this note:

Thank you, appending the passcode from the authenticator app to the password helped.

It was hardly obvious, and didn't worth wasting so much time hitting the wall...

Hi durgaprasanth.vemula,

HTTP Error 417 is too generic and difficult to troubleshoot. As per error statement you could take a look at the trace log file (ljs_trace.log) to check for a more specific thread of errors happening in Java. Look for exceptions that have happened before the error 417. Check the "caused by" lines, usually you will find very useful information there.

If you find something there that you cannot understand, please post it here so we can have a look.

Don't forget to use the "insert code button" here, so you don't paste a huge text in html format - which is going to make things a little more difficult for everyone to understand.

Best regards,
Ivan

Hi durgaprasanth.vemula,

That error seems to be related to a failed login attempt on the Cloud Connector UI. I can see the user Administrator was used during the login, but probably the password was incorrect. So, I suspect this has nothing to do with the 417 error you had.

Best regards
Ivan
