2004s Query Designer uses Java Web by default?

Hi, I noticed that the Query Designer kicks off the Java Web version of a query by default when pressing the [Execute] Icon. Is there a way to have it default to the ABAP Version or is the JAVA Version fixed and standard for the future?

Currently, a BW 3.x query uses the ABAP runtime and a 2004s query uses the java runtime. This I think makes the most sense. You can launch the BW 3.x web analyzer and open a 2004s query from there to get it in the old runtime.

Thanks for the quick reply. Is SAP direction to use just the JAVA Version going forward?

Both runtimes are supported. I would recommend using the newer version whenever possible as it has lots of new features that are well worth while.
