Hello,
i have installed SAP SOLMAN 4.0 (abap+java) on basis NW 2004s!
With this basis release, you have to apply Support Packages Stacks (AS-Java) with the Java Support Package Manager > JSPM!
After installing, i wanted to patch the solution manager. unfortunately, i get an error with the JSPM during "Validation" (Step 3)!
The following message apears in log-file:
#1.5#C0000A35E01B0000000003492DE7222D00041ABC838244A8#1155296869369#/System/Server/Upgrade/Phases/JSPM/JSPMPhases/JSPM_PROCESS##com.sap.sdt.jspm.deployment.preparator.QueuePreparator.checkQueue(QueuePreparator.java:507)#######Thread[main,5,main]##0#0#Info#1#com.sap.sdt.jspm.deployment.preparator.QueuePreparator.checkQueue(QueuePreparator.java:507)#Java###Overal validation message : #1#com.sap.sdm.apiimpl.remote.client.APIRemoteExceptionImpl: Close session failed: Connection between SDM client and server is broken. Error during validation. See /usr/sap/PSO/DVEBMGS72/SDM/program/log/sdmcl20060811114623.log for details.
What can i do?
com.sap.sdm.apiimpl.remote.client.APIRemoteExceptionImpl: Close session failed: Connection between SDM client and server is broken.
Thanks a lot!
Regards,
matthias

Hello Xavier,
I deleted the SAP_JAVASL entry in the xml File and updated this component manually! On "service.sap.com/patches" there is an SDMKT... available, with which you can upgrade your SDM!
Note <b>860939</b> - Initial installation/Update of SDM v6.40/v6.45(NW04/NW04s)
was very helpful!

and also if u have java dialog instances stop these , SDM is availabe on the CI of WAS Java
also check the log in you log Directory(located in the SDM directory where you can see .err extention files

Hi Matthi,
As far as i know SDM server accepts only one connection at a time, Hence when u got dissconnected a stale thread was still occupying the server and you were not able to connect next time. Check the below link for more info
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/43/1f1b46e7dd2bc5e10000000a114cbd/frameset.htm
Try stopping & starting the SDM server..best of luck
