hi i am very new to bw so can any one tell me what is 0RecordMode in ODS

hey shariff!!

tats a very important part which helps the ODS to pick up the deltas.

it will be there in the change log table of the ODS.

there are five modes in all .thge before & after images.

additive image,reverse,delete...

do not have the link right now...y dont u check the previous topics...guess there are many on ORECORDMODE.

0RECORDMODE is used for delta mechanism. It determines whether an entry was new, updated or deleted.

0RECORDMODE is sent by some datasource, like LO transaction data and also used by the delta update from ODS to other InfoProviders within BW.

0RECORDMODE defines what type of delta upload you want to use.

also you can view documentation on it in SE11

1) Transaction SE11.

2) Select "Data type" and enter RODMUPDMOD in the Data type name field and click the "Display" button.

4) press the "Documentation" button on the toolbar.
