0MATERIAL change in SAP BW

Hi All,

I have a requirement to add a new attribute in 0MATERIAL info object in SAP BW.

Here I have a question that, Is the existing objects will be deactivate due to this change. I mean, I have already added this 0MATERIAL Info obj in many places like Info cube, DSO and other places.

Is this change(adding new attribute to 0MATERIAL) will impact other objects?

Please suggest and let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Phani

Hi,

0MATERIAL is a default InfoObject provided by SAP. That means you are making use of the existing InfoObjects which are already installed in the system.

0MATERIAL is independent of the places where you used. You can use in DSO, Info Cube etc and where ever you want. You can customize the 0MATERIAL for each info provider you are using.

Transformation and DTP to 0MATERIAL will be deactivate. If 0MATERIAL is used in any composite provider or Maultiprovider ( in old vision) u need to reactivate
