Multi Actions - Partial Publishing in Version Management
When configuring a version management step in multi actions, users can now decide how to publish the data if there are warnings. Users can choose to automatically publish changes and have the publish fail if there are any restrictions or can choose to automatically publish changes and discard any data that is affected by restrictions. Enhancement of the version management step now includes the following publish options:
- No follow-up action – the version remains unpublished and the user has the option to publish changes manually
- Publish to target version respecting warnings – changes are published, but if data locks or other restrictions apply to the data region, the publish fails and data remains unpublished (option to publish the changes manually)
- Publish to target version ignoring warnings – all changes not impacted by data locks or other restrictions are automatically published, with data impacted by locks or other restrictions discarded
The support of partial publish of the version management step creates more flexibility and offers the same functionality in multi actions as when publishing manually, resulting in a richer set of scenarios and more needs to be met.
Note: Automated publishing only applies to public versions. Publishing of explicit private versions is at the discretion of the user
