Enterprise Planning
Data Actions – Automated Partial Publish
When setting up a data action planning trigger, configuring a data action step in multi actions, or adding a data action to be scheduled in the calendar, users now have the option to decide how to publish data. Users can choose to automatically publish changes and have the publish fail if there are any restrictions, or choose to automatically publish changes and discard any data that is affected by restrictions. (
SAP Road Map Explorer)
The data action trigger has been enhanced and now includes the following publish options:
- Do not publish
- The version remains unpublished and the user has the option to publish changes manually
- Publish and fail if there are warnings
- Changes are published but if data locks or other restrictions apply to the data region, the publish fails and data remains unpublished (option to publish the changes manually)
- Public and ignore warnings
- All changes that are not impacted by data locks or other restrictions are automatically published, with data impacted by locks or other restrictions discarded
Note: Automated publishing only applies to public versions. Publishing of explicit private versions is at the discretion of the user.
Microsoft Office Integration
New custom function: SAP.GETTABLESTATUS
Use new custom formula,
SAP.GETTABLESTATUS to retrieve the status ("refreshed" or "need to be refreshed") of the data contained in the table.
SAP.GETTABLESTATUS parameters:
- One or more tables
- Display options (0 = TableID/StatusID, 1 = StatusID, 2 = StatusID/StatusText, 3 = TableID/StatusText, 4 = TableID/StatusID/StatusText)
This feature is available as of May 31
st, 2023.
New custom function: SAP.SETDATA
Use new custom formula,
SAP.SETDATA to define and execute data action parameters:
- Retrieve data action parameters defined on a model displayed in Microsoft Excel
- Select a data action parameter definition and launch it from a Microsoft Excel workbook
SAP.SETDATA parameters (ID only):
- TableID
- Cell for picking value
- {DimensionID, ValueID}*
SAP.SETDATA is similar to the
SAP.GETDATA function, but for planning. This means users can specify the tuple exactly and specify a cell where you pick the planning value to write on the backend.
This feature is available as of May 31
st, 2023.
User Collaboration
Support for CSV formatting in story scheduling
When scheduling a publication, users now have an option to select widgets within a story that can be exported in a CSV file type and delivered to the required destination. Within one publication, users will be able to select up to five (5) widgets to export data and deliver an email in the zip format. This is available for stories in the Optimized Story Experience. (
