Q: Is there a plan to merge tools like Ariba CIG and SAP Integration Suite (CPI) into a single offering?
A: SAP Integration Suite is also the integration platform for SAP´s Business Networks. SAP Ariba, SAP Information Collaboration Hub for Lifesciences etc. leverage SAP Integration Suite for line-of-business experts in an embedded way. Ariba CIG helps buyers and sellers to quickly onboard and transact digitally in the Ariba Network. Customer´s leverage CIG for standard onboarding, for all custom, 3rd party and more complex integration patterns, customers can use SAP Integration Suite for extending those integrations.
Q: When are you planning to release the PI/PO to CPI migration tool?
A: SAP Integration Suite allows customers to import mappings from PI and in the future we will also support import of all data types. These data types and mappings can be leveraged in iFlows easily. SAP will provide an Integration Assessment tool as well as partners will provide some migration tools to convert ICOs to iFlows, however the recommendation it to also use the opportunity to modernize your integrations with pre-packaged integrations from SAP, apply modern practices like API and Event-based integration patterns.
Q: With Rise with SAP, will BTP be offered as Private Cloud like HEC as single tenant offering?
A: SAP BTP is one of the 5 core elements of RISE with SAP and is offered as a public cloud solution. All the details on the RISE with SAP offering can be found here. Q: Tool/Integration platform change is easy. How to modernize(change) integration developer's mindset?
A: This was somewhat covered in the live session, but we wanted to add a few more things. Change might not always come easy, but it is necessary. We adapt, we grow, we change to move forward in almost all aspects of life. Technology is no different. At SAP, we are committed to providing our customers with the right tools & services, so they can transform their business. As Damien mentioned, the beginning of any project comes with questions, ifs, ands and buts, but once the benefits of scalability, reliability and agility are understood, it’s just a matter of hopping on the cloud train 😊
Q: SAP Graph on one side will provide a single API to refer One domain model from backend sap systems but then the question arises that’s the same thing API's in API business hub provide. How will the strategy to use both including cloud integration will be different?
A: SAP API Business Hub is the central catalog of all APIs, including integration packages, business process content, events & more provided both by SAP and by our trusted partners. To paraphrase Harsh, it’s like our own Netflix.
SAP Graph is THE API of the Intelligent Enterprise. It is meant to expose core data and functionality that will support developers in building extensions to SAP solutions.
