All companies, small and large, need to have a Business Technology Strategy.
The goal of a BT strategy is to align technology to the business goals of the organization. While being aligned to the operational needs of today, it also needs to support future adaptations – even as new disruptions can arrive from unanticipated directions.
The reality is that only one in five of companies have an IT strategy clearly communicated within the organization.
While developing the BT Strategy, a roadmap for the Technology Platform will also emerge. As with the strategy, the platform must support not only the core processes of the organization as-is today (Keeping the lights on) but it also must have the agility and scalability to rapidly respond to the needs of the future.
There is no universal recipe for an organization’s technology strategy, so we created a forum where IT strategist could listen to peers and experts sharing their real-life stories; how they are marshalling technology in response to radical changes within our business environment, notable with the SAP Business Technology Platform.
Our proposed format is a live series of customer and expert panels, plus an immersive environment with multiple showcases.
The main themes were inspired by our customers. 3 major topics have emerged:
Sustainability
Data to Value
HyperAutomation
Sustainability - after world peace and global pandemic response - is the most important priority affecting any organization today. We need to rearticulate business goals that impact our technology strategy.
Sustainability need not be antonym to growth. We see companies proving the profitability of sustainability though energy efficiency, economic equality, corporate responsibility, ethical supply-chains, Green House Gas Emissions and much-much more
Data-to-Value represents the ambition of all businesses to move towards being a more data-driven organization. The “data is the new oil” mantra sounds great but delivering on the promise can be a challenge. We’ll gain real insights from the practical experience of organizations on our panel.
HyperAutomation is today recognized as one of the top strategic technology trends in the market. It brings together process-mining, identifying areas of optimization in existing processes, with AI-fueled technologies such as Robotic Process Automation and the low-code tooling that can automate them. The panel will give us a chance to explore how these new domains unlock new opportunity.
We’ll bring together these panels with star moderators.
The sustainability panel will be led by jesper.schleimann, Chief Innovation Officer, the Data-To-Value panel by timo.elliott, Global Innovation Evangelist and the HyperAutomation panel by vivien.boche, Innovation Specialist.
