The
btp CLI is the command line tool for account management on SAP BTP. Like all command line tools, it caters for two different "user types":
- Interactive ("human") users, who type commands into the terminal and
- Programs, such as scripts, which execute commands and process their outputs
While we, the btp CLI development team, make sure that the commands can be used in scripts - for example, by providing a stable json output and by keeping commands compatible - it is our
human users that are at the heart of our development efforts.
We believe that the CLI needs to be consistent and easy to use for humans. That's why we regularly engage with users to understand their needs and painpoints, and we often test early versions of new features to validate our designs.
