Over the past six months, a lot has happened in the area of the consumption-based licensing model for SAP Cloud Platform. For example, we have almost reached parity with regard to service availability between subscription-based and consumption-based (cloud credits) licensing.
In this blog, I'll give you an overview of the new services that we've added recently to SAP Cloud Platform and new countries with cloud credit coverage. Some of these services (so-called microservices) are only available via SAP Cloud Platform Enterprise Agreement (CPEA), although I'm happy to announce that some services are now also available for subscription in SAP Store. I'm also very proud that we'll be relaunching our estimator for calculating service costs -- you can check out a sneak preview further on in this blog. Towards the end of the blog, you can find an overview of the upcoming services that will become available in the next two quarters.
If you're new to the world of the consumption-based commercial model or CPEA, I highly recommend that you first read these two blogs, previously published by me and

New CPEA-supported Services
Since our last update in October 2018, we've increased the number of CPEA-supported services from 35 to 50. This means that we've shipped an average of more than two services per month. SAP Cloud Platform is an open business platform designed to help you innovate, integrate and extend application with agility, flexibility and choice; therefore, we have directed our efforts on delivering services in areas that have a strong business focus, such as Rates & Measures, Master Data, and Data Privacy & Security.
These are the 15 new services listed by category, with links to interesting blogs, technical documentation, and other content:

DevOps
Internet of Things

Subscription-Based Licensing: Microservices available via SAP Store
Microservices that are commercially available for CPEA only are not available for subscription-based customers because they are not available on the official SAP price list. To close this gap, these services are offered via SAP Store to enable subscription-based customers for microservices.
Currently we have two such services in SAP Store:
By the end of Q2 2019, we plan to deliver the following microservices via SAP Store:
BlockChain
- Quorum on SAP Cloud Platform
Data Privacy & Security
- SAP Cloud Platform Data Retention Manager
- SAP Cloud Platform Credential Store
Keep in mind that this is the current state of planning and is subject to change by SAP at any time without further notice.
Re-launch of SAP Cloud Platform Estimator
After a great Design Thinking workshop in January 2019, our team has been working on the relaunch of SAP Cloud Platform cost . We plan to go live with the new estimator after SAPPHIRE around the end of this coming May.
We've made a huge step forward with personalizing the estimator, for example, letting you add your own personal notes and sections to group your estimates. Also in terms of usability, we've made other enhancements - now you can add services without switching back and forth between the estimator and the product capabilities catalog.
After we've gone live with the new estimator, we'd love to hear back from you. So let us know what you think what about these changes.
Check out this sneak preview of the enhanced cost estimator…
CPEA Roadmap for Q2 and Q3 / 2019
I would like to share with you our pipeline for introducing more CPEA-enabled services to SAP Cloud Platform over the next two quarters:
Again, keep in mind that this is the current state of planning and is subject to change by SAP at any time without further notice.
Wider Country Coverage for Cloud Credits
Our growth rate in countries for cloud credit availability is running high, and we are now open to 59 countries, up from 49 countries six months ago and 39 countries ten months ago.
Ten new CPEA countries since November 2018
