SAP TechEd & AppSpace
Now after my total of 7 weeks of coherent traveling and a week of Thanksgiving Holidays I just want to use this blog post to recap SAP TechEd Bangalore 2019 and say thank you to all the great people who attended TechEd or helped us in the AppSpace.
The SAP TechEd Bangalore event was a huge success for SAP and the Developer Relations team. Attendees were great, the number of people who tried out our new technologies and joined SAP's amazing sessions was amazing!
Also, we as the SAP Development Advocates were represented in the SAP TechEd App Space including our great partners: Apple, Google, Amazon, and Microsoft.
From left to right: Kevin, Josh, DJ, Max, Thomas, Marius, (we're missing Witalij 😞 )
I myself as the iOS and Apple Development Advocate was running, together with Thilo Berndt the SAP & Apple Partnership booth including the SAP Cloud Platform SDK for iOS AppSpace area. The event in Bangalore was the busiest AppSpace TechEd event of all three of the TechEds in 2019. Developers from all around India, South-East Asia as well as all around the world who were visiting to learn about SAP. My colleagues and I had an amazing discussion about the partnership, the SDK for iOS and all aspects of designing for the iOS/iPadOS platform.
It was a pleasure for me to work with my colleagues from the SDK team as well as from the Solution Experience team. They were a huge help in the App Space and brought great value to educating our SAP Development community on the newest SDK changes.
Here I want to say thanks to my colleagues for being there the whole day with always a smile on their faces! Of course also a big thanks to Thilo Berndt and Martijn Tielen for being there with us and providing the incredible Asset Management Showcase!
With around 1250 completed tutorials in the iOS space alone I am really proud to say that we had great engagement with the knowledge-hungry developers, here in Bangalore. I can't wait to see them all again for the upcoming years showing them all the great new features we will have ready.
If you couldn't attend TechEd this year you can access all the AppSpace Missions
here. If you're interested especially in the iOS ones you can check them out
here.
Note: Right now the training material for the Machine Learning Mission is not yet publicly available. If you want to do this tutorial, try out to train a Core ML model yourself using the SAP Cloud Platform or CreateML from Apple.
Overall it was a great event with over 11000 completed tutorials in the AppSpace, also it was a pleasure to work with all my great colleagues from SAP as well as all the partners.
SAP TechEd Community Area
Our SAP Community team gave me the chance to talk about the SAP & Apple Roadshow event series as well as the SAP CP SDK for iOS. In about 20 minutes I gave a brief introduction to what the event is all about, as well on what the SDK for iOS is including why it is so important for the future of business applications.
Thanks to the whole community team for giving me their stage and also a big thanks to the attendees who lent me their ear!
For those who don't know: The SAP SDK for iOS Roadshow is an event series where we talk to developers as well as designers around the world about how to create good iOS/iPadOS App design as well as development with the SAP Cloud Platform SDK for iOS. If you're interested in the content you can use the public GitHub repository, which has all the training materials included, so if you want to take a look, feel free to do so
here.
With that, I want to close my brief Blog post about the SAP TechEd 2019 - Bangalore event.
Stay hungry and as always Happy Coding!
