Last month, SAP hosted the SAP HANA Open House Day in Walldorf, Germany with the goal of attracting young developers and showing them the cool stuff that the HANA Database campus is doing. The SAP HANA Database department established its own student campus to satisfy the demand of research in technology. The group is in close contact with well-known universities, both locally and worldwide, since the hiring for SAP HANA roles is a huge priority for our Company.
The SAP HANA Department is at the forefront of innovation inventing new technologies (including prototype implementation and analysis), consulting, obtaining patents, releasing publications/papers, conducting and analyzing trend research, representing SAP HANA at conferences, workshops and in scientific journals by publishing academic content.
During the SAP HANA Open House Day, candidates got an overview of database research at SAP, met the architects of SAP HANA and learned about existing academic collaborations. There were quite a few interesting presentations by developers and academic partners, as well as students and PhD candidates, who also presented their research.
Adoption rates for SAP’s HANA in-memory database have grown significantly. In fact, more HANA projects are appearing in the pipeline, meaning more companies are building out their in-house support for this database. That rising demand has made SAP HANA one of the hottest skills and jobs in the space.
SAP is growing our HANA teams and is looking for C++ Developers and Quality Engineers to work in Walldorf, Germany and Seoul, South Korea. SAP offers a surplus of learning options and tools to help professionals acquire knowledge and hands-on experience for this exciting database.
Want to join our SAP HANA team? Check out these roles in Germany and South Korea here!
