Whoop whoop! After an intense final spurt at the end of this year, our development team released quite some exiting features for you!

Here is our selection of top features for Q4:

  • SAP BW bridge

  • Intelligent Lookup

  • more flexibility in the data flow

  • new functions in the Business Builder

  • better management of large data volumes

SAP BW Bridge

You may have been wondering about the integration of SAP BW: we have promised to take this further and now we present to you SAP BW bridge! With SAP BW bridge, you can use SAP BW functionality in the public cloud and import SAP BW bridge data models into SAP Data Warehouse Cloud.

Intelligent Lookup

When combining data using joins, it may happen that there is no suitable join partner: there may be no column in your primary entity that contains data to uniquely identify a record in the other entity, or its data may be incomplete or unreliable. That's when you can make use of the intelligent lookup.

An intelligent lookup can join any two entities that have some kind of semantic relationship, even if one entity is not able to consistently identify records in the other entity.

More Flexibility in the Data Flow

In the Data Flow, You can now import Excel files from a remote file storage to your data flow and configure the worksheet to be used.

New Functions in the Business Builder

In the Business Builder, we have implemented two much wanted functions:

  • Business entities now support the definition of attributes with texts and language dependent texts.

  • For measures, you can now also use exception aggregation beside the standard aggregation types.

Better Management of Large Data Volumes

Loading large data volumes should not be a problem nowadays. For remote tables, we already offered partinioning to make loading large data volumes more manageable. Now you can also use partitioning for views.

Loading larger data volumes can take a long time and cause high memory peaks. To optimize performance and reduce data footprint, you can load only the data you need in your remote table using a filter.
