Cloud ERP Implementations commonly state the goals of Single Source of Truth and Improved Reporting.  Pre Implementation, sites have data in multiple systems and reporting in numerous Excel files and are looking to remove the Information Silos.  During Implementations the Project Teams pulls data into a single source ERP database, but then during the Project's "Last Mile" they pull data out and "Slice & Dice It" in Excel to meet user requirements.  With this they slide back to multiple data storages with the possibility of conflicting, conflicting and incorrect information.

With SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) you can keep your data in an single, controlled system and meet a customer’s current and future analytic requirements.

As part of SAP's Commitment to Partnering Excellence, the North American Solution Center presented a workshop on SAC for Business ByDesign (ByD) on February 20th in Dallas Texas.  Presented by Jose Bastidas, Quintus Smith, and Jeff Lischka; ByD North American Partners ERP Logic, Illumiti, Navigator, Projexia, R Tech, Rand Group, Seidor, and VistaVu where enable on SAC for ByD.  Sales and Consultants learned SAC Basics, How to Connect SAC to ByDesign, and How to Create Analytics (Reporting and Dashboards) with ByD Data.  Using multiple data sources in SAC (SAP, non-SAP, excel, and text) was also covered.

This in-person event has created a positive buzz in the SAP Global Community and we are planning online sessions later this year which will be recorded and publish for future off-line enablement.
