Over the last year, we have been working towards creating a new look for the existing graphics in our product documentation. As authors, each one of us had varied taste when it came to the way we created graphics. To allow all our creative ideas to have an exclusive flavor, the graphics revamp initiative was undertaken by the User Assistance teams of P&I Technology to accommodate consistency in the way we use colors/icons. Through this, authors gained perspective on how we can increase the visual appeal of our graphics in such a way that you, as a user, can consume our written content in a better manner.
To understand what needs to go into making this happen, a core graphics team was formed. This team had the mammoth task of spreading the word and creating a standard which ensured a consistent look as well as enhanced visual appeal. Continuous training and reviews by the core graphics team paved way for the graphics you see now, which not only echoes SAP’s brand voice but also, makes it easier for you to identify with our content.
