Today, mid-size and large companies look to a single decision-making solution for real-time analysis and extended planning and analysis, an emerging trend, coined by
Gartner , which extends the planning and analysis capabilities across the organization.
SAP Analytics Cloud provides the business planning tool to accelerate planning and analysis, collaborative budgeting, long-range strategic planning, work-force and capital planning, predictive planning, scenario modeling and enterprise-wide budgeting.
Need for Planning business content
To accelerate the customer implementation, we set out a mission to involve our partners to explore, ideate and build meaningful planning scenarios using SAP Analytics Cloud to help simplify planning and bring one unified experience related to strategic and operational planning across departments. The partners were encouraged to conceive industry specific, or Line of business (LoB) scenarios to standardize, automate, and integrate data cutting across silos & departments.
The results from partners were astounding as part of the
#Hack2Build planning focused event. Such pre-built business content and planning scenarios would be of immense value to our customers to streamline cross department planning functions.
Partners with Great ideas participate
In cooperation with SAP Analytics Cloud planning product management team and Partner Readiness team, SAP Co-Innovation Lab organized a 7-day virtual hackathon event for enterprise planning, known as
#Hack2Build, to support speedy prototype activities with our partner ecosystem. The event held between 14-21 June 2021 for partners from EMEA and MEE region concluded on a high note with 6 out of 8 partners delivering rich planning prototypes.
Every #Hack2Build event demonstrates the innate innovation potential of SAP’s ecosystem, driven by their close association with SAP products and technologies and servicing customer needs over many years. Each partner demonstrated a clear value proposition with their ideas arising from the challenges they observe with our joint customers planning needs and aspirations.
Here we describe in brief the three winning solutions:
Winner - Braincourt
Braincourt was adjudged the clear Winner of the #Hack2Build -Data-to-Value with Planning event.
Braincourt’s integrated Project-to-HR-to-Finance Planning Solution combines the activities for resource planning on projects, i.e., in construction companies, with ability to monitor available capacities depending on the underlying HR planning.
In this solution Braincourt developed the possibility for customers, to create new projects in SAC and allocate the necessary resources to the project. On top of this they built a monitoring tool which supports responsible people to verify, wether the planned resources exceed the available capacities at a glance. Depending on the situation it is then either possible, to adjust the planned resources on projects and even to shift whole projects into the future, or to start with the HR planning process right away.
Braincourt’s integrated Project-to-HR-to-Finance Planning Solution

Braincourt plans to further enrich their solution with financial data to include additional cost planning and to offer a fully integrated planning solution to the customer.
1st Runner Up - INFOMOTION GmbH
INFOMOTION, as the first runner-up, conceptualized and showcased how customers can design future job profiles, assign specific skills and plan the personnel requirements based on the actual-vs-target-analysis. The solution helps to minimize risk in personnel development and be at the top in the war of talents, with a possibility of a full integration in SAP SuccessFactors.

2nd Runner Up – Seidor
The 2
nd Runner up was awarded to Seidor’s Headcount predictive planning process.
Seidor showcased a seamless FTEs and Headcount predictive planning process aligned with long term business planning key figures existing in the P&L and strategic people management initiatives like equality, satisfaction, structural ratio, and relevance ratio. Seidor’s solution with SAC Planning integrated with SAP S/4 HANA and SAP SuccessFactors demonstrated monitoring of strategic people initiatives, the business key figures with critical people process and operations related to FTEs and Headcounts.

The #Hack2Build Data-to-Value planning event thus helped create planning content , as a prototype validated by SAP experts and with an aim to bring the partner solutions with a faster time to value for customers.
