SAP HANA Cloud Platform mobile services has been released today. It enables customers and developers to build, extend, and run mobile applications on SAP HANA in the cloud. This release marks a major milestone in the realization of SAP’s vision to simplify the delivery of enterprise mobility, lowering barriers to entry and dramatically reducing time-to-value.

SAP HANA Cloud Platform mobile services inherits key features such as offline app support from SAP Mobile Platform 3.0, and makes them available as a service on the SAP HANA Cloud Platform – the in-memory Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offering from SAP.

Making developers more productive...

Developers will get more productive as they can now use the SAP Mobile Platform SDK with SAP HANA Cloud Platform mobile services to develop native and hybrid web (Apache Cordova) applications.

Flexibility for customers...

Customers can now choose between on-premise and cloud deployment of their mobile applications.
