It's been over three months since our last update and it's time now for a new update on SAP Cloud Platform's consumption-based commercial model.
I'd like to share with you some information about new services that we've added to SAP Cloud Platform, and new countries that can use
cloud credits. Also, some news around services that are now priced on an hourly basis instead of monthly. And to close off, I'll be giving you an outlook about which services are expected to arrive in the area of the Cloud Platform Enterprise Agreement (CPEA) on SAP Cloud Platform.
If you are new to the world of the consumption-based commercial model or CPEA, I highly recommend that you first read these two blogs that were previously published by ralf.schaub:

Hourly Pricing is the new Trend
Currently, most of the CPEA-enabled services are priced on a monthly basis; however, the trend is now going in the direction of hourly pricing.
These are the SAP Cloud Platform services that are now priced on an hourly basis:
At the moment our team is working to enable following services to run on an hourly basis for Q4 2018:
- Java Server
- PostgreSQL
- RabbitMQ
- Redis
Additional services on hourly basis will follow. Stay tuned for updates.
CPEA Roadmap for Q3 and Q4 2018
There are already a lot of new CPEA-enabled services in the pipeline. Here's the general plan for the next two quarters of 2018:
Please be aware, that this is the current state of planning and may be changed by SAP at any time without notice.
You can find all available roadmaps at SAP Cloud Platform Roadmaps.
Increased Country Coverage for Cloud Credits
The growth rate in countries for cloud credits availability has been quite high and we are now on 49 countries, up from 39 since the last four month.
While the focus of the new countries has mostly been with the South Americas, we also have shown a bit of love to EMEA and Asia.
With the addition of these countries, we now deliver a worldwide CPEA offering to all our SAP Cloud Platform customers.
