Hi Everyone,

My name is Orna Kleinmann. I head up the portal organization in SAP. In my area there are several groups taking care of all our portal portfolio – development, product management, quality, user experience, etc. I wanted to take the opportunity that I'm doing a few sessions in the upcoming TechEd Madrid to talk a bit about the revolution the portal has undergone in the past few years.

SAP NetWeaver Portal has tremendously evolved in the last few years, with innovations in the areas of Cloud, Mobile, Content Management and Social, alongside with major improvements in our core SAP NetWeaver Portal product with 7.3x release in areas such as usability, enterprise readiness and scalability.

Providing organizations with a Portal integrated add-on, capable of transforming existing desktop portal experiences to mobile ones.

Please join me to my session PMC163 on Nov 15th at 11:00 AM for 2 hours of hands-on workshop, in which you can test drive the SAP Portal Enterprise Workspaces yourself , with the following sample exercises from the session agenda :

Mobile Workspace: workspaces consumption from an iPad:

  • Launch shared workspaces from workspace directory
  • Consume and run variety of modules
  • Play modules in different iPad views - Page view, Max view, Compact view
  • Navigate between pages and modules

Mobile Homepages: create content on desktop and later consume it from an iPad:

  • Launch Mobile Homepage from workspace directory

  • Consume and launch data from your mobile Homepage : Read Feeds, News and documents, launch applications and view movies
