Hello,

You have build a very complex OCC instance, and you want to share it internally or with your customers.

In this tutorial, we will see to quickly share the content of an OCC dashboard with the new export/import function available with ST-OST.

The objective is to create a model which will contains a layout, all the gadgets and the queries, with input parameters which allows to adapt it to your needs.


 


 

 

Step I: Export the model


You need to select the dashboard, you want to export, and press the export button in the edit mode.


 

This will open, the export wizard. There, you have 2 options, exports the dashboard as it is, or customise its contents, by inserting inputs tags.

 


 

The wizard detects automatically what are the candidates parameters.

To create an input parameters, simply press add parameter, enter its $name and description and assign it to the possible entry.


 

You may add as much parameters, you need.

Once this is done, this list of customisable parameters, is available in the wizard. You may choose there to edit or delete them, if needed.

Now, you are ready to export your model, by pressing the button.

And that's all.

 

Step II: Import the model


Create new OCC Dashboard Instance or select an existing one, go to edit and press import button


 

The Import Wizard opens. the first action is to select the JSon File, you created in the previous step.

Once this is done, you will be able:

  • To replace the full dashboard layout

  • To add the gadgets to your existing ones.


when your selection is done, you can enter the values for the input parameters.


When this is done, all parameters entries are green and you can import it.

 

And this is done. Your dashboard is ready to be used.
