Today July 14th, 2021 we will hold our quarterly update session to show you the great features we have delivered to SAP Data Warehouse Cloud during the second quarter of 2021.

The SAP Data Warehouse Cloud Community has been extended by two subpages:
Space deletion removes the space and all it's content from the system. Thus, it is a serious activity. So far, a simple yes/no question had to answered before space deletion and unintended deletion. Now a safety question forces you to explicitly confirm the deletion of a space.
The new feature prevents users from unintended deletion of spaces.
Description
When editing the connection details, there is a check if SDI real time replication is activated or paused. In those states you can only edit fields, which do not interfere with an active or paused connection.
Value
As an administrator I would like to know which fields are editable when the connection has SDI active real time replication or when the connection is paused. Fields that are not editable should be disabled. The goal is to avoid an error situation as some fields are not editable via the SDI replication when real time replication is active or even when the connection is paused.
Enable a drop down in the SAP HANA connection type to choose between a cloud or on-premises system. This drop down is only changeable when creating a connection (as long as no virtual tables on that remote source exist). For SAP HANA cloud systems an automatic switch is applied to use SDA instead of SDI. It also disables the Cloud Connector section and the DP Agent drop down.
Simplifies the connection to SAP HANA Cloud without using a middleware component like the DP Agent or the Cloud Connector.
This new smaller feature allows to filter the connection list in a space by Features, Categories and Sources.
This helps with spaces containing a large number of connections and helps to keep them organized. The filtering is also aligned with the dialog when creating a new connection, which already has a similar function.
The refinement decouples the recurrence interval from the actual start date and timing each occurrence is executed. This way the definition of the start time and date depends on the chosen frequency. The weekly recurrence now allows to include and exclude certain days of the week.
The change provides a more intuitive user interaction and includes a preview of future runs to show exactly when the next execution will take place.
Now we introduce the option to filter data while loading from the source. This allows a generic filter-based delta and provides a max value variable for delta filtering.
This option allows far less data that needs to be transferred and therefore enables faster Data Flow execution.
Enable the modelling of associations directly on Tables without the need to create a wrapper View. This is supported for the remote table editor and the local table editor.
Improve the efficiency when modelling simple tables by already associating relevant objects.
This offers a direct selection of fact attributes in the quick add function and avoids specifying the source for attributes, as for single fact tables there is anyway only one origin possible.
Easier and faster selection of fact source attributes in a consumption model saves time and reduces effort in a single fact model.
The data preview panel can now filter or sort on all the data. The preview results are limited to the first 1,000 lines, but the filtering and sorting is applied to the full data set.
This feature increases the usability and the value of data preview.
Provide transparency on usage of individual Data Access Controls even in complex, stacked scenarios. It adds the possibility to navigate within diagram to see all views affected by a given Data Access Control.
Increased transparency in complex scenarios to see which artifacts are affected by a Data Access Control. Better understand the data exposed to a user and which authorizations (DACs) influence the data to be seen.
You can now connect with your database analysis user to SAP HANA Cockpit to perform advanced analysis and monitoring. The cockpit allows the monitoring of CPU, memory, storage use in the HANA Cloud instance. You can also perform analysis using trace and diagnostic files, executed SQL statements, sessions, alerts.

The Business Content update for Q2 2021 has the following packages:
The SAP Ariba Spend Analysis package for SAP Data Warehouse Cloud and SAP Analytics Cloud provides a visualization extension of SAP Ariba Spend Analysis data. This package is aimed towards sourcing managers, category managers, and procurement business analysts to inform decision making within procurement spending.
Provides a general overview of the company's current spend. It displays how the spend is distributed among different factors and trends for a period of 8 quarters. The assessment also highlights compliance areas that need to be managed differently.
The Life Sciences industry is currently at the center of everyone's attention. In a pandemic context it is more critical than ever that the supply chain supporting the industry works in an efficient way, guaranteeing maximum quality of supply to minimize risks, while at the same time keeping costs low.
This initial release of the content provides broad Supply Chain Management models as well as an inbound quality model, to support the Supply Chain for Life Sciences Scenario. The data models are catered for further exploration and drilldowns into relevant dimensions and measures.
