Dear Focused Build community,
Here again you’ll find recent activities, news, and useful links regarding Focused Build for SAP Solution Manager 7.2.
New release SP4
We are happy to announce that
Focused Build ST-OST 200 SP4 has been released (RTC) August 12, 2019 and is now available for customers and partners.
As usual, we have dependencies to SAP Solution Manager. Therefore, SP4 can only be installed in an SAP Solution Manager 7.2 SP9 system. For more information, see SAP Note
2791634: The central note for Focused Build 2.0 SP4 for SAP Solution Manager 7.2 SP9.
You will find a new use case covered in Focused Build, which was requested very often from customers.
FixPace has been newly-established for projects that call for Focused Build use in the implementation phases, to now support those projects in the subsequent maintenance processes. FixPace is intended to be used in the same landscape as the release itself. Its main purpose is to establish a fix process for Focused Build releases. So Focused Build now has three new transaction types, which some of you probably already know from the Change Control process: Request for Change, Urgent Change, and Standard Change. Ready to learn more about FixPace and all the other new Focused Build features?
New CAL image
There is a
new Cloud Application Library (CAL) image for SAP Solution Manager 7.2 available. After the successful release of our first CAL system, which contains a fully-configured (including Focused Build) system with data and a connection to an SAP S/4HANA system, we are now offering a preconfigured Focused Build system without data and w/o attached SAP S/4HANA system. This system could be used as baseline system for a new SAP Solution Manager system to be used as project implementation tool. Learn how to get the usage rights from CAL to deploy it as your own system in this
blog post.
The CAL system contains a configured SAP Solution Manager 7.2 SP8 with Focused Build SP3. SAP Solution Manager 7.2 covers the complete application lifecycle of your IT solution running on premise, hybrid, or in the cloud.
In addition, you can
download the CAL System. Scroll down the catalog list or search for “Focused Build SP03 for SAP Solution Manager 7.2”.
