With the latest release of SAP Mobile Start, you get some great new features like SAP S/4HANA situations and Insight Cards - plus some cool new iOS17 features.

Situation Handling helps your business run smoothly by automatically informing the right users about situations that need their attention. This includes, for example, upcoming deadlines, delays, expiring contracts, and so on. Now, users get their new situations in the SAP Mobile Start app, right on the Start screen in the “New To-Dos" section, as well as on the To Do tab.

Furthermore, users get in-app notifications and native push notifications to ensure that they never miss a new situation or a new task and can act immediately.

With the integration of the SAP Task Center Service, SAP Mobile Start provides users with a consolidated view of all their tasks, coming from various backend systems like SAP S/4HANA, Concur, or SuccessFactors.

With the release of version 1.9, users will get native push notifications on their watch, tablet and phone, as well as in-app notifications whenever a new task or situation is assigned to them. Thus, users won’t miss any new task anymore while being mobile and can act immediately to ensure that no important business event or workflow is delayed. Users can comfortably navigate from a notification directly to the task details.

With SAP Mobile Start Version 1.9, the app provides users with their Insight Cards that they already know from their SAP desktop applications. Insight Cards are shown on the Start screen, as well as on a dedicated “See All” cards view. Compared to a regular app tile or a so-called monitoring tile, Insight Cards (aka UI Integration Cards) allow for a more in-depth analysis and offer direct navigation to their parent application. Users can hide them or snooze them if required.

Currently, the following card types are supported: analytical cards, list cards, object cards, calendar cards, and table cards.

Remark: Currently, SAP Mobile Start supports Insight Cards in combination with SAP Start, our new central entry point edition for cloud solutions. The support for Insight Cards via SAP Build Work Zone is planned for later.

Furthermore, SAP Mobile Start Version 1.9 allows deep links to open apps that are maintained in the configuration of SAP Build Work Zone, standard edition. For security reasons, only those apps can be opened via deep links. This feature will enable users to share links to UI5 apps, for instance via email, and the apps will automatically be opened within SAP Mobile Start.

The team has also improved the in-app search of the iOS version to bring it to the level of the Android app. When using the search, users will see their last five search terms on the search screen, and users can open them directly.

Finally, SAP Mobile Start now supports latest iOS 17 and watchOS 10 features.

You can add SAP Mobile Start widgets to your iPad Lock Screen (small format) and to the Smart Stack on your Apple Watch. Further more, you can add your SAP Mobile Start widgets to Your MAC, to ensure that you are always on top of your critical business KPIs, even when you are not logged into a system.
