Bodo Klečka, Director of Marketing at BOA Group. BOA Group is a medium sized group of companies that produce flexible metals for the automotive and aerospace industries as well as for a large number of different industrial applications. Bodo shared his experiences with the cloud with us.
What does the cloud mean to you?
The cloud is a great solution for reducing complexity for our company because we don't have to worry about data systems and the technology behind it. It’s very easy access to data, even if coworkers use different applications in various departments within the company. It’s particularly beneficial to us because, historically, BOA Group has always been decentralized. Using the cloud helps us centralized our systems, and at the same time still allows people access to different tools to get their work done. We can access to the same data from anywhere in the world.
In your opinion, what is the biggest advantage of cloud-based solutions?
Well, even if you had a great system that was installed in-house, issues with hardware or software are bound to happen. Instead of wasting my team’s time maintaining and repairing the system, I could just use cloud-based system, which is managed by a company of IT experts. It’s one less thing to worry about.
What cloud-based solutions do you use?
We are just about to implement SAP Sales OnDemand CRM system. This adoption seems promising because it will centralize our systems. We want to provide our salespeople with clear information and procedures, so our operations are efficient.
