Create Project You can create a Project from Project Tile in Fiori launchpad, Overview Page.
Create Multiple projects You can click on project Tile or Overview Page
Project Timeboxing You can assign dates to Project phases, activate phases show as milestones.
Support Agile Methodology You can use Agile Methodology
Create Sprints You can create Sprint schedule for the Project
Close Sprints You can now close Sprints for the Project
Custom milestones You can add custom milestones in Project and use them to assign due dates to Tasks
Integrate with SAP Central Business Configuration Once the setup is complete, you can select an Integration scenario during Project Setup and link.
Project History You can look at the Project history.
Team assignment You can assign people to the roles.
Hide or Unhide Projects You can hide a Project or unhide it. A hidden project can still be accessed and edited if you have saved a bookmark. If you plan to use a hidden Project later Actively , you can unhide it.
Set Project Status You can set the Project status manually to

  • On Track

  • Needs Attention

  • Critical


Add custom roles You can add custom roles to Project
Add custom Phases You can add custom phases to the Project. They get sorted automatically based on dates. Custom phases can be deleted
Deactivate Project phases You can deactivate all phases , except the Prepare phase. You can revert this decision.
Work with multiple Projects You can have multiple projects , but you can view them one at a time.
Restrict Editing to Projects You can set access level to Public, Restricted or Private to control who can view and edit information in a Project or deal with confidential Project
Create custom workstreams You can create custom workstreams using Excel Upload
Create custom tags You can create custom tags using Excel Upload
Assign a Deployment Plan to Project You can assign a Deployment Plan to the Project which ensures the Project sees the system Landscape
See a Gantt chart You can access the Project information in a Gantt chart using Task list
Access Reports for Projects You can access the Overview page , Analytics Reports and Release and Timelines application

Requirement Creation You can create Requirements directly from a Process or manually
Requirement Upload You can easily upload Requirements via Excel Upload
Requirement Decomposition A Requirement can be broken into User stories or Project tasks , which can further be broken down into sub-tasks.
Creation of Features from Requirement You can create Features from Requirements
Assignment of Test cases to Requirements You can assign Test cases to Requirements. Both manual and automated test cases are supported
Requirement Status tracking Requirements can have one of the following Status

  • In Refinement

  • To be approved

  • In Realization

  • To be tested

  • Blocked

  • Confirmed

  • Not Planned


It is not possible to extend the status list
Requirement Approval Requirements have an additional flag for approval. Approval is an optional step and has no impact on status
Requirements Categorisation You can create custom tags to categorise requirements. You can also use the Workstreams provided by SAP Activate methodology
Requirements Reporting Requirements have multiple card in Overview page and also some stand alone analytical apps such as Requirement Traceability

Task Types

Tasks can be of the type

Template Tasks, Project Tasks, user stories or sub-tasks
Tasks from SAP Cloud ALM setup Before even you select a Project template, SAP Cloud ALM offers you some setup tasks to get started.
Tasks from Activate After you select a template, content from Activate methodology for the selected template is converted into an actionable task list.
Tasks from Requirements You can generate tasks from the captured Requirements in SAP Cloud ALM to track them to completion.
Tasks created manually You can supplement the task list by creating tasks manually.
Tasks created via Scoping When you create Scopes, a set of tasks are generated per newly created Scope.
Upload tasks from Readiness Check You can now upload content from Readiness Check in SAP Cloud ALM
Task assignment and Distribution You can assign tasks to persons, roles and teams
Task Collaboration You can collaborate on tasks by entering comments
Task Copy You can copy tasks
Task Decomposition You can break tasks into sub-tasks
Task Status assignment You can set the status of tasks to one of these values

  • Open

  • Blocked

  • In Progress

  • Done

  • Not Relevant


 
Task Reporting Multiple cards are available in overview page and multiple reports are available in Analytics as an exampple Task Distribution app shows you how tasks are distributed in persons and teams

Unique IDs Projects, Task and Requirements have unique IDs
API Support Projects, Task and Requirements can be created and edited via API
Gantt Chart You can see different items such as Requirements, User stories, Tasks in list view or a Gantt chart view
Setting Obsolete Before you delete an item, you need to set it to obsolete. You can chage your decision any time.
Deletion Once an item is obsolete , it can be deleted. A deleted item can not be restored
Viewing History You can see the history of any Item easy by clicking on the History icon in item detail screen
Comments You can enter comments to an item. You can edit and delete your own entered comments.
Download You can select different items and download them to spreadsheet or download them as Template.
Mass Edit Some of the attributes of items can be Mass edited. When you select multiple item types as an example Requirements and user story the the list of attributes shown in Mass edit is the list of common attributes of items
Mass Upload You can download template and upload items following the template
Maintaining Relationships

You can relate one item to another manually using the Gantt chart view. You can delete the relationships also.

It is also possible to create relationships via Excel Upload
Creating views You can create and save views from the Task list or Requirement List
Add as Favorites You can set items as Favorites
Tag Management You can create your own custom tags or use the ones created by SAP
