The graphic is structured along four key value chains and its ten corresponding processes (functional areas). Each value chain explains the contexts of its processes from an end-to-end perspective, addressing a “core competencies” level of information. On “expert competencies” level the processes are explained more deeply from a functional perspective, in the listed processes WIKIs above.

The 4 key value chains

  • Portfolio to Project (P2P) to drive the portfolio of projects and balance business initiatives and their business value against IT capacity, skills and timelines

  • Requirement to Deploy (R2D) to build what the business needs, when it needs it with measured business outcome

  • Detect to Correct (D2C) to anticipate and resolve production problems

  • Request to Fulfill (R2F) to catalog, request and fulfill services

The value chains and its processes are supported by SAP Solution Manager 7.2 to manage the “business of IT” fully aligned with business demand.
