Terminology

As part of SAP’s commitment to social justice and equality, SAP is replacing insensitive terms in our software and documentation with inclusive language – defined as “language free from expressions or words that reflect prejudice". In this regard, we replaced the term "whitelist" in any user-facing texts in the application as well as in product documentation with the term "allowlist".

Data Integration

Connection type Generic JDBC

With connection type Generic JDBC (Data Provisioning adapter CamelJdbcAdapter) you can connect to most databases for which SAP Data Warehouse Cloud does not already provide a connection type. The connection type supports any database that has SQL-based data types and functions, and for which a JDBC driver is available.

Advanced properties for SAP ABAP, SAP HANA, and Microsoft SQL Server connections

To better support you with your connection configuration requirements, you can now change additional connection properties for connection type SAP ABAP, SAP HANA or MS SQL Server, thus gaining more control about your connectivity setup. For the connection types, we provide advanced settings with default values that you can override according to your customer scenario’s needs. For SAP ABAP, for example, you can now choose if you want to connect to sources based on Operational Data Provisioning (ODP) version 1.x or based on version 2.0, or, for Microsoft SQL Server, you can decide to use Windows authentication, for example.
