Universe Designer- Launch Issue
Symptom
- Cannot log in to Universe Designer
- Error when logging into Designer.
- Error: Internal error: "Open Session: Unexpected error"
Reproducing the Issue
- Launch universe designer
- Enter user credentials.
Environment
- SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform 4. x
- Universe Designer XI 4. x
Cause
- The user login information files have become corrupted.
Steps
BusinessObjects Enterprise XI R3
- Find the lsi folder: %Documents and Settings\<useraccount>\Application Data\Business
Objects\Business Objects 12.0\lsi
- Delete all the files in that directory.
- Refresh the universe designer and launch again.
SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform 4. X
- Find the LSI folder: %Documents and Settings\<useraccount>\Application Data\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\lsi
- Delete all the files in that directory
- Refresh the universe designer and launch again.
