Tips when creating an SAP BTP ABAP Environment Trial User

The tutorial of "Create an SAP BTP ABAP Environment Trial User" provides detailed steps of how to create a trial user and ABAP cloud project with SAP BTP ABAP environment.

I applied before and forget the account so I didn't go through the prerequisites very clearly and start my creation directly with Singapore - Azure which leads to an Error ending which terminates my connection to BTP with my Eclipse plug ADT. Hope no one makes the same mistake as I did : P

• The ABAP environment service is currently not available for Singapore - Azure.

 

When it comes to the creation of a connection from ADT to the cloud ABAP environment, Singapore - Azure belongs to others category without default API endpoint.

Even you fill the API endpoint (https://api.cf.ap21.hana.ondemand.com) get from the Cloud Foundry environment:

 

It still will be stuck at Error 'Could not find any service Instance for the selected Space' at connection setting to SAP BTP cloud foundry environment.

And got an error 'Missing entitlement' on the BTP cloud side when carry on the step Prepare an Account for ABAP Trial tile after press Start to start the booster.

 

Then I suspect I haven't any remaining Quota and find the tutorial to config the Entity Assignments, until then I find out how careless I am... It's already clear mentioned at the prerequisites of that Tutorial! All those extra wasted time clearly demonstrate what we called ALL IN VAIN.

Then I spend some more time recording this to remind myself:

  Read the prerequisites at the beginning!
