We are now past the half way point of our Speaker of the Week campaign, which features a different superstar speaker in the weeks running up to this year's first SAP TechEd in Las Vegas.  By now, most of you already know that SAP TechEd is the fastest way to update your skills and learn how to run smarter with SAP technologies and solutions, and that in 2013 the event will take place in Las Vegas, Amsterdam, and Bangalore.  So here are a few cool facts you may not know about the SAP TechEd host cities (tune in next week for more):

Las Vegas - Bugsy Siegel, one of the city's notorious figures, named his casino the Flamingo after the long legs of his showgirl girlfriend.

Amsterdam - There are more bikes in Amsterdam than people with 1 million bikes and only 700,000 Amsterdamers.

Bangalore - The city's name was coined by the British for the conventional name BENDA KAALUURO (meaning "cooked peas").  Locals affectionately refer to the city as Bangy or B'Lore.

As attractive as the SAP TechEd locations are, so are the SAP TechEd Speakers.  This week's featured speaker is tammy.powlas, Senior Business Analyst at Fairfax Water and SAP Mentor.

"Attendees at SAP TechEd 2013 will hear a lot more about SAP HANA, BW on SAP HANA, how to adapt tools, and how to make a business case for SAP HANA.  It's really important for attendees to come to SAP TechEd because (SAP TechEd) is not about marketing, it's about how you're going to use and adopt these tools.  (At SAP TechEd) attendees take back real-life and hands-on experiences...The key message for SAP TechEd is how are you using the tools? and how you can better use the tools." - Tammy Powlas

Tammy is a Business Intelligence expert, SAP Certified in BW, FI, CO, SEM and ASAP, an ASUG volunteer, one of the top contributors for the SAP Community Network, and an SAP TechEd veteran.

Attendees can expect to gain hands-on experience during her sessions: Using SAP Lumira with SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse and SAP HANA, Multidimensional Analytics with SAP BusinessObjects Analysis Editions for Microsoft Office and OLAP, All You Need to Know on SAP BusinessObjects Design Studio 1.2, SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence 4 with SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse, and take part in her lecture session: Customer Experiences with SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.1 Customer Validation and Ramp-Up Programs.
