SAP Intelligent RPA 2.0 - Import Project Folder

Introduction: 

This is Syed Baba Tajuddin Hussaini with a blog post on SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation 2.0

We can export a project folder to an archive format in our local machine and import it into cloud studio when required either in the same tenant or in another tenant. Frequently we will be adding or updating the things in existing project folders and all of sudden something went wrong and we are in a hurry to execute the automation or would like to import it into another tenant, quickly we can import the project folder and continue the work. It is a good habit to export a project folder when required as a backup in a local machine. Indeed in SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation 2.0, the project folders are in the cloud. Hence, this blog post helps you to import the project folder into cloud studio.

Prerequisites:

1. Cloud Studio


2. Archive extractor

If we get the following error:

Why above error occurs?

The above error occurs because constantly predefined dependency's versions are getting updated. Suppose at the time of exporting your project folder SAP Intelligent RPA Excel SDK version is 1.13.75 and at the time of importing your project folder into cloud studio, this dependency gets updated to 1.14.54. Hence, it needs the previous version to be imported as well.

If this error occurs we cannot import the project folder unless we import the asked dependency version.

How to import the required dependency version?

Note down the version it is asking to import as shown in the above image.

Steps to follow:

1. Visit SAP Intelligent RPA Store.

2. Search for SAP Intelligent RPA Excel SDK

3. Select it.

4. Once you select it.

5. Scroll down the web page

Import Dependency

6. Click on Show All Versions.

7. Select the required version

8. Click on Get as shown in the below images.

Now, we are able to import the project folder into our cloud studio.

Similarly, like above other dependencies can also be imported. With this, we can successfully import the project folder.

Conclusion:

In the above steps, we have seen that whenever we export the project folder from cloud studio and would like to import it the same in cloud studio in same tenant or different tenant if an error occurs then above are the steps to import the required dependency and successfully import the project folder and continue the automation journey.
