This blog is a submission to the SME SEEDx Development Challenge 2019. We were thinking about an application ( "which we named as Salien" ) that would help our retail customer to manage their stores and their sales team effectively. The Challenge was announced in June and we started to develop Salien for both Challenge and the customer. The application has gone live with the customer and now submitted for the challenge

Solution Description


Developed for in house Sales CRM with Gamification to motivate the sales employees and Machine learning to improve customer Experience.


Solution Use Case


This application is targeted at the branded retail stores where the customer walkin can be measured in the Mobile application.

Generally, when it comes to Retail stores, the major concern of the management are the following.

1. To improve the conversion ratio of walk-ins
2. To analyze the lost opportunities with reason.
3. To Motivate the employees and recognition for the right person.
4. Improve customer experience.

Salien Details:


Mobile CRM with the gamification and point based system motivates the sales employees to enter transactions, opportunities. The application also suggests the best items based on customer purchase pattern to the sale employee for achieving the target. Management gets the Stores statistics like a walk-in, Conversion Ratio, lost opportunities and including customer feedback

Already the on-premise version is being used by one customer . We also signed another customer, where we are trying to propose cloud option. We are trying to work out the viable commercials for the cloud option to give the product on SAAS model.

The Challenge had made us explore innovative options and impress the customers. For Example, when the team came up with the voice recognition idea for the challenge and after we included the functionality in the Salien, the end users were really excited and it was a big success. SME SeedX Development challenge keeps us in check to include innovation as part of our application. We look forward for all our implementation with innovation so that we can submit it the challenge for the next year.
