Our integration package QforIT Error Alerting(https://www.sapappcenter.com/apps/13577#!overview) for SAP Cloud Platform Integration is now available in the SAP App Center!
This integration package is developed on SAP Cloud Platform Integration to automatically monitor your tenant via OData API requests and to have SAP Cloud Platform Integration send you an email-alert in case of priority (according to the ITIL priority matrix) errors/issues. You can customize the settings (parameters, priorities, timeframes etc), based on your own requirements!
A value mapping table is used to determine the priority of an iFlow. This table is to be filled with the iFlows and corresponding priority of your tenant (see chapter 2.2 Adjust the QforIT_CIS_ErrorAlertingValueMapping of the Instruction Guide that comes with the package when downloading the error alerting flow).
The main advantage of this integration package is to include enhanced altering to the current monitoring capability.
There are two main processes in this iFlow. The first integration process is developed to monitor your SAP Cloud Platform Integration via OData API requests and to prioritize your interfaces using a value mapping table. The most important interfaces are prioritized as CRITICAL and will be reported immediately using mail relay tooling capabilities. In our case, we have used Sendgrid, but any mail relay tool can be used.
(Example of an email error alert with different priorities)
The interfaces with a lower priority are written to the Data Store from SAP Cloud Platform Integration and will have other (customizable) timeframe than the CRITICAL interfaces. These timeframes can easily be modified, using the Content Modifier in the second main process (Other priorities) or it is possible to configure externalized parameters. This is described in step 4 of
chapter 2.1 Adjust the QforIT_CIS_ErrorAlertingFlow of the Instruction Guide that comes with the package when downloading the error alerting flow.
If you download the package, you will find an Instruction Guide for the configuration of your iFlow under ‘Documents’. If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to contact me!
