Introduction

In this blog you will learn about how request OpenText License and install to system. In our S/4 HANA implementation customer needs integrate Document Management System from OpenText.

SAP xECM by OpenText 16.2 is chosen by customer as Document Solution.  customer leverage as Document Archiving first because each particular business scenario has attached document as consideration purpose. SAP provide solution from OpenText Archiving Server, OpenText Content Server also OpenText Directory Server.

Datas are come from User interaction, user do certain SAP transaction and upload documents.  Single view are happened through SAP transaction code, no user view/uplaod documents from Opentext side.

OpenText license is User Based. You have contact your partner to generate from OpenText Portal. SAP Portal does not provide OpenText License.

OpenText license is unforced-license, it means if license usage exceeds from license purchased System still goes on, but will problem when audit matter.

In our scenario, we provide OTCS has two machines, one for Backend (Indexing), one for FrontEnd (Slave) for increase workload. OpenText needs fingerprints ID for requesting license, if we compare with SAP system like hardware key.

Each OpenText Content Server has own different fingerprint, so if we have more than OTCS, we need only from Backend Server.
