Learn more about Mohammed below (pictured to the right):
What is your role at Newell Rubbermaid?
I currently serve as the Senior Portal Architect and Mobility Manager at Newell Rubbermaid. This means that I am the Subject Matter Expert and Senior Architect in all areas of SAP Enterprise Portal. I have been filling that role for almost six years now. Also, I am in charge of leading the Enterprise Mobility initiative at Newell Rubbermaid. This means that I am in charge of all mobile development for internal and B2B use. I have been in that role for almost 2 years now. With the growth of the area in mobility, I am able to stretch my skillset in UI design and project management to work on new Mobility projects, while still supporting existing SAP Portal projects.
What is your professional background?
I started my career as an SAP Basis consultant. Over the years, I refined my skills in both Portal and Basis and ended up as an SAP Portal Architect at The Home Depot. After a short stint there, I moved over to Newell Rubbermaid as an SAP Portal Architect and helped build the SAP Portal infrastructure there. As previously explained, I have now been at Newell Rubbermaid for 6 years and counting. I completed my B.S. in Computer Science from Georgia Tech (Go Jackets!) and also hold an MBA from Georgia State University with a concentration in Computer Information Systems.
What you can learn from your session?
The road to mobility is a very agile and confusing path. Take a look at some of the applications that we were able to build at Newell Rubbermaid. We are now using these applications to help our Sales team achieve a better customer focused experience. This is just the beginning of our road to mobility, so also take a look at some of the future initiatives we have for all of our employees. You will get to see an idea on how Newell Rubbermaid plans to grow the use of mobile applications throughout our workforce.
Some fun facts about Mohammed:
o This year he was able to go to Paris during the French Open and attend the final (pictured above right)
About his session:
Here is the abstract from the session listing:
In an effort to begin our mobile landscape, Newell Rubbermaid identified sales as the first business area to receive applications. The first application built was a sales application to be used by consumer sales reps. Later, the Rubbermaid Closet division built a mobile application to facilitate custom closet designs. Come hear their story.
