Dear Community,
This post is to help the community migrate older versions of SAP LOGON Entries which were usually stored on Individual machines as .ini Files.
So when a new install of the SAP GUI is done we can simply copy the .ini File to the new GUI PATH and we have all our old entries back in the new GUI Installation.
SAP now has a brand new GUI release called 7.60 for Windows.
You can read more about the installation from Frank's Blog here:
https://blogs.sap.com/2019/01/02/sap-gui-for-windows-7.60-new-features-lifecycle-information/
One of the ways we moved to a new GUI was to copy the SAPLOGON.INI file with all our previous connections and system logon details.
Now this is no longer supported by SAP.
- ini: The saplogon.ini format is no longer supported as of SAP GUI for Windows 7.60. Since SAP GUI for Windows 7.40 a new connection format (“SAP UI Landscape”) is available. This new format became the default format in SAP GUI for Windows 7.50 and replaces the saplogon.ini format. See the “SAP Front End Installation Guide” or the “SAP UI Landscape Configuration Guide” for more information on how to use “SAP UI Landscape”. In release 7.60 the functionality for creating and reading saplogon.ini is still available for compatibility reasons with other components, but the usage in SAP GUI for Windows is no longer supported.
This is because SAP now uses the UI Landscape for the LOGON entries.
There is a SAP NOTE which describes how to migrate your entries from SAPLOGON.INI to the new landscape.
Now this NOTE
2580439 was written for SAP GUI 7.40 and 7.50.
I tried it with SAP GUI 7.60 and Windows 10. It still works perfectly fine.

A word of Caution:
Please note that there are instructions to change the registry entries on your machine. So make sure you backup your registry entries.
To conclude I hope this post helps save time to add entries to the new UI Landscape.
