In new version of SAP Netweaver PI 7.31, SAP has included a new feature for developing Integration Scenarios by selecting integration's patterns that SAP are named as "Integration Flows". As you can see, there are three automatic pattern that you can select when you start the configuration:
•Point to Point
•Routing
•Mapping
"Integration Flows"
SAP provides BPM 2.0 notation for defining the Integration Flows.
Why we must to use Integration Pattern in our projects?
1. Make one solution for recurring problems.
2. Provide guidance for documenting the projects.
3. It can be use in multiple platforms.
4. Can help us to provide a standar vocabulary with developers.
There are many standards pattern for apply in our scenarios not included in the SAP PI standard patterns but it's very difficult to implement all of those pattern in the SAP PI platform. One question, what pattern could you be implement in SAP PI without manual developing? I fear that so many pattern can not be implement without manual developing.
Integration Pattern Classification
•EAI Pattern.
•Message Exchange Pattern.
•Service Interaction Pattern.
•Workflow Pattern.
•SOA Patterns
•ESB Patterns
As you can see, the world of integration pattern is very extensive and SAP has to do a great effort to do more eficiently the implementation of this integration pattern in SAP PI.
EAI Patterns web page: http://www.eaipatterns.com.
In next post I will talking about EAI patterns and how we can implement some of them in SAP Process Integration. In this point include the next integration patterns:
