Implementing 'Project Tasks' Fiori App for SAP Solution Manager 7.2 SP14+

This documentations is about implementing Project Tasks related Fiori App for the Project Team Member user of the PPM- Project Management module in SAP Solution Manager 7.2 SP14.



 

This app allows following Project Task related activities;

• Update Task Status
  Update Work progress data
  Check Schedule information
  Display notes or add new notes
  Display & Add attachments
  Confirm the progress of your work for a selected project task

The add on to be installed on Solution Manager 7.2 SP14 is UI FOR SAP PORTF PROJ MGMT 6.0 (SAP Fiori 1.0 for SAP Portfolio and Project Management)

Following version of the add on is compatible with 7.2 SP14.

After the installation of this add on; activate the Gateway Service by adding service PPM_PROTSK_CNFPPM_PROTSK_CNF and assigning the System Alias.

Front-End Server : Activate OData Services

Component	Technical Name
OData Service (Version Number)	PPM_PROTSK_CNF (001 )

Front-End Server: Activate SAPUI5 Application

Component	Technical Name
SAPUI5 Application	PPM_PROTSK_CNF

Go to SICF and activate the following services ( ppm_protsk_cnf)

 

Run the Se38 Report /UI5/APP_INDEX_CALCULATE  to refresh the SAPUI5 Application Index.

Now create a Fiori Launchpad Catalog/Group  for the App. The app reference is delivered with the Technical Catalog SAP_PPM_TC_T

This app has following technical details;

Add the App to Fiori Group;

You could also use the standard PFCG Role that delivers this App in Fiori Launchpad. The Role name is SAP_PPM_BCR_PROJECTTEAMMEMBER

You could use the nice looking FIori App to work with Project Tasks assigned to you.

In PPM NWBC Gui , the Project Tasks assigned to you would look like this;

In the Project Tasks Fiori app, it would look like below;

The Tasks status can be updated along with the Work Progress (Scheduling) data;

This app also allows you to update comments against the Tasks and attaching documents as well.
