Unable to Connect to live cache server

We have installed SCM 5.1 and Livecache 7.7 and as a post installation activity we are trying to run report SLCA_NON_LC_RELEVANT_CLIENT but the report shows "could not create a connection to livecache".

We tried LC10 transaction to monitor livecache but it is giving the below error:

Name and Server : L10 - dc1dapdv


Error : DBM Error

Return Code : -2

Error Message : ERR_USRFAIL: User authorization failed#

We don't know which user authorization is failing. Please help!

Hi Jagan,

1. In the landscape are there any clients other than BW, ECC & APO?

2. If there are none, then the system is giving the right message.

3. Check the authorization profile for the background user across ECC & APO. I suppose they have the requisite privilege, try adding SAP_ALL
