Hi Everyone,
I hope you are all well. Thank you for taking the time to read my post. I am seeking your invaluable guidance.

I currently work as a System Optimization Analyst in the Supply Chain Department of the grocery retail industry, primarily working with ECC/FNR systems. Our organization is transitioning to S/4HANA Private Cloud in 2027. To support this transformation, I am looking to upskill by taking relevant courses and earning certifications.

I have started my learning journey on SAP Certified Associate - Implementation Consultant - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition course as a foundation and plan to pursue more specialized SCM courses afterward (Such as SAP Certified Associate - Production Planning and Manufacturing / SAP Certified Associate - Implementation Consultant - SAP Business Network for Supply Chain) However, I am feeling uncertain about my chosen path and the learning journey towards certification.

  • The supply chain-specific course ( Production Planning and Manufacturing ) comes with a cost, whereas the learner journey for Private Cloud implementation is free with an SAP S-User ID. Is my approach correct, or am I missing something?
  • I have also begun the prerequisite courses for the certification. Are the contents provided in the learner journey sufficient for exam preparation?
  • Learning Journey on how to prepare for SAP Certified Associate - Implementation Consultant - SAP Business Network for Supply Chain Shows only 4hr worth of content is it really sufficient for the assessment preparation.
  • Do any of these certificate act as prerequisite before pursuing specific SCM certificates. Taking into account that some few learnings are free and few have a cost associated either by paying for learning Hub or E-learning.

I'm looking for a holistic step-by-step approach. However, would appreciate focusing on key learning/certificates 1st in order to build my confidence and also display to my organisation/dept that the learning will benefit during our transformation phase.

Thanks in advance.
