Hi SAP Expert,
I was wondering if you can confirm if we can display weighted average key figure using IBP_WEIGHTEDAVG function for an editable stored Key Figure. For example, we have price key figure.
Can we use one KF price that is stored and editable with IBP_WEIGHTEDAVG function for the aggregation?
Or We need to have two KFs, the first one is price that is stored and editable, and the second one is the weighted average price that is calculated and non-editable.
Thank you for your advice.
Cheers,
Erwan

Thanks Revan.
I am already using IBP_WEIGHTAVG function to calculate the weighted average price.
However, this means I have two key figures for prices. The first key figure one is the price that is stored and the aggregation is avg. The second one is the weighted average price which is calculated and using the IBP_WEIGHTAVG.
My question is whether it is possible to only use one key figure for the price that are stored and also have IBP_WEIGHTAVG function for the aggregation (instead of a simple average).
Hope it clarifies.
Rgds,
Erwan
Hi Erwan,
Understood your point. The two key figures have different purpose.
You can use the standard price key figure at the base planning level.
You have to use Weighted avg key figure when you are planning to view the price on the aggregated level. In such cases, weighted avg function calculates the averages based on the Inputs provided rather than having simple avg of the stored key figure. I think below image clarifies your doubts about usage of key figures.
Here you can view the price for each product using standard price key figure which is stored. However if you are looking for price on the product family, wieghted avg considers the weights rather than just considering the simple avg.
