Hello,
We have been testing Best Matching Technician feature and we have noticed that once we select technician and assign them an activity its 'Traveltime to' falls outside of their assigned Work Time Pattern.
All our technicians use the same Work Time Pattern (Mon-Fri, 8:00-18:00) and assigned activity starts at 8:00 however if they have to travel to customer system suggests they start driving before their assigned Work Time Pattern - please see attached screenshot for better reference.
Is there a way to force system to include 'Traveltime to' and 'Traveltime from' to happen within assigned Work Time Pattern?

Hello,
yes, this can be done in custom policies, using our Auto-Scheduling Policy Designer.
Read more here: https://help.sap.com/docs/SAP_FIELD_SERVICE_MANAGEMENT/fsm_ai/custom-policies.html
You can configure things like allowed travel time inside/outside the work time pattern for the first job of the day using the general settings: https://help.sap.com/docs/SAP_FIELD_SERVICE_MANAGEMENT/fsm_ai/policy-general-settings.html#assignmen...
In addition, there are many rules and objectives that can be used to customize the behavior as required.
For your case, I recommend changing the parameters defining the allowed driving time before/after work time pattern start/end in the rule „Respect resource work time pattern“ to 0, since you don‘t want to allow driving outside WTP.

Thanks for your interest in our product and happy testing!
