SAP DM, REO - Opeation Split with Order POD (Relaxed Flow)

Dear experts,

I am looking for a solution to do a operation split in SAP DM with REO.

We are using Production orders with an Order POD. Therefore we have set "relaxed flow" in the routing and the lot size for the material is set to -1 to get only one SFC per production order.

In the following SAP Help link (Operation Split | SAP Help Portal) it is explained how to do an operation split, but the result is not as expected. I do the order split an move one of the splitted quantity to an alternative resource. Finally I release the order.

I expected to see in the Order POD in the Order Selection List one splitted quantiy at one resource and the other splitted quantity at the other resource to start the order at both resources at the same time.

But I still see the full quantiy only at one resource. When I choose the order I see two operations but both a the same ressource.

Do I miss any necessary settings?

Hi,

Operation Split in REO is currently used for planning and scheduling purposes at REO level only, and don’t really reflect on the amount/quantity of SFCs or Charges released at all at the moment.

You should be able to use some combination of Material Lot Size, Production Processes, Public APIs, Automatic Triggers  / Business Rules and POD Plugins to meet your split requirements.
