Real-Time Integration with IBP 2305 and ECC EHP8 SP17

Hi Team

Can you confirm if my below points are true?

• Per my understanding from the SAP Note 3106619, our current ECC EHP8/SP level 17 is still supported to enable the main functionality of SAP IBP Real-time integration, but it can only give us the functionalities of IBP2111 version which was the initial release of RTI.
• Installing the corresponding sap notes is an alternative solution to get the additional functionalities.

Our current ECC version is EHP8 with SP17 and IBP Version is 2305

Additionally, how it works when SAP upgrade the IBP version from 2305 to 2308 soon?

Hi Bala,

Upgrade to 2308 will not have any negative impact on your existing solution setup. Any new functionality that may come up in 2308 pertaining to RTI may not be supported unless you

1. Either upgrade to a specific EHP mentioned for that functionality
2. Install OSS notes mentioned in 3106619.

Please keep an eye on OSS Notes 3110007 and 3106619 for getting any RTI-related Updates.

I am adding SAP IBP team response as well, so that everyone can make use of it.

Query to SAP:

Can you help us clarify the below? Our current version of ECC system is EHP8 for SAP ERP 6.0 with SP stack level 17(09/2021) and IBP version is IBP2305.

• Which list of SAP Notes that we should refer from the SAP Note 3106619 to implement RTI that support our current ECC/IBP version?
• How does it work when SAP upgrade the IBP system version from 2305 to 2308 soon after or before we go-live with RTI solution?

Answer from SAP:

• As you’re on EHP8 SP17 you need to install the notes that are included in the support packages >=18

You need to implement the notes starting from the Block “IBP2202 provides the additional functionality for SAP IBP real-time integration” and all below notes

Alternatively you can implement higher Support Packages and then the remaining notes

e.g. If you implement SP20, you would need to add all note starting from the block “IBP2211 provides the additional functionality with SAP IBP real-time integration” and all below notes

• The IBP upgrade is independent from the notes in ECC. This means that the integration still works after the IBP upgrade and there is no need to implement ECC notes during the IBP upgrade

New notes need to be implemented only when you receive error corrections or you want to enable additional functionality for RTI
